Interned on the Xbox team at Microsoft during the summer of 2015. More specifically I worked on the activity feed on the Xbox Live Social Services team. I worked on adding link functionality to the activity feed. Additionally, I created a mini service that when given a web link, it would return a title, description, and main picture for a web link. Finally, I added onto an internal node.js application to easily test new activity feed features.
May 2013 - May 2015
Elected as VP Finance for 2 years in a row for the UT Austin chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery. As VP Finance I Managed over $36,000 in sponsorship money and membership dues. Additionally, I helped restart the ACM competitive programming program with a team of other students, where my jobs included budgeting and running biweekly competitions, designing the front end of our in-house auto-judge program, and providing prizes and food to contestants.

A scholarship awarded for being in the top 10 percent of your high school class. The scholarship was maintained by taking 30 credit hours per year and maintaining a 3.25 GPA.
June 2014 - December 2014
Interned at Bazaarvoice in Austin during the summer and fall of 2014. I worked on the Firebird team, which was the front facing product of Bazaarvoice. I worked primarily on the back end of the application, the build tools, and internal monitoring tools. All the above were written using JavaScript (node.js), Puppet, Bash, Ruby, and the tools used were TeamCity, Jenkins, gulp and mocha.

Interned at Qualcomm in San Diego during the summer of 2013. I first worked on an internal PHP application, adding a diff tool to it. After that, I worked on a stress testing android application that was designed to find hardware failures.
December 2012 - July 2013
With a group of people met at a hackathon we attempted to build a generic teaching platform for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially those of high school age. I was the programming lead and designed the back end of the application using node.js and the compound.js framework with MongoDB for our database operations. I also prototyped the frontend using Jade and bootstrap. Before leaving to focus on an upcoming internship, we had a platform that had a small unit test suite via mocha, integration tests via mocha, a sample mock up of the course creation module, and a sample mock up of a student using a programming related module.

Awarded a scholarship by the UT College of Natural Sciences that also allowed me to be a member of the "Scientists for Tomorrow" cohort.

Participated in a team of 4 in a 2 stage computer science competition, 1 part being written and 1 part being programming.

Participated in the Bowled Over! FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition along with 7 other members. We won a regional competition and were semifinalists in the state competition.

Nominated to the Texas Academic All State Elite team for football in 2011.

Starting varsity defensive end for Cedar Park High School Junior and Senior year. Overall record for 2010 was 13-1. Overall record for 2011 was 11-3.
